FDR's FliContol™ is an EFB main menu application that makes managing your EFB’s applications easy. Using the large buttons and over sized menus provided by FliControl, pilots can easily launch applications or swap between active applications quickly and easily with only their finger tip. Styluses are easily dropped or lost, which can create an unnecessary distraction while in flight. FliControl provides a touch screen application interface that can be operated easily using only a finger tip. Oversized application buttons, an automated on-screen keyboard with oversized keys, oversized menu items and other application design elements make all the applications easy to operate on a touch screen EFB, eliminating the need for a stylus.

Additionally FliControl provides a layer of security beyond that of Microsoft Windows. Because FliControl can run as a shell application, you can lock down a generic EFB configuration and control access to applications and EFB system settings based on assigned user privileges.

FliControl offers many features that make the transition from paper charts, check lists and documents smoother for pilots new to using an EFB. Cross talk allows pilots to share information and EFB settings between two or more cockpit EFBs. FliControl’s night mode presents a dark color scheme for the EFB desktop and is much easier on the eyes when flying at night.
